About Cha-Ching
Cha-Ching is a financial literacy programme designed to equip 7 to 12 year olds with the knowledge, tools and practice they need to make informed financial decisions to reach their own personal goals and dreams.
Developed by Prudence Foundation with Cartoon Network Asia and children’s education expert, Dr. Alice Wilder, the storylines, music videos, comics and curriculum focus on four key concepts of money: Earn, Save, Spend and Donate.
These Guides encourage parents to discuss and help their kids understand the concepts of Earn, Save, Spend and Donate in a fun and interactive way.
- Earn Money doesn't grow on trees: you have to earn it. And if you want to save, spend or donate money, you have to make it first.
- Save Saving is an important habit to achieve both short and long term goals; as well as saving for emergencies!
- Spend Spending is top of mind for kids when quizzed on money, but it's importnat to separate needs from wants.
- Donate The concept of donating is important in supporting our communities. Encourage kids to donate their time, belongings or money to those less fortunate.
