When presented with real life situations that involve money, they help each other out. In order to learn what they are practicing, they created some catchy tunes that riff off of the four essential skills needed to understand their choices and acquire their needs and wants: Earn, Save, Spend and Donate.

Originally friends from music class at their school, the group's passion for music sees the band growing in popularity, quickly attracting a loyal fan-base around town. Cha-Ching has played to some large crowds on stage in the local park and with the money the kids earned from these performances, they learn the importance of being smart with their money.

These lovable kids live in a medium-sized town in Asia and cope with real life money situations just like you!

Fun Fact About Cha-Ching

Cha-Ching Money Smart Kids is a financial literacy programme designed to equip 7 to 12 year olds with the knowledge, tools and practice they need to make informed financial decisions to reach their own personal goals and dreams. The storylines have been written around the four key concepts of money: Earn, Save, Spend and Donate.

What kind of musical genre does the Cha-Ching band perform?

The music in Cha-Ching is best described as "rockin." However, different genres of music were featured throughout the series to keep it fresh. Some of the other styles include acoustic, country, funk, pop and R&B.

Where were these music videos produced?

The music videos were created and produced in four cities around the world, including Hong Kong, New York City, Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur. It took one year of planning and six months of development to produce.

What inspired the singers – Jacinta (Prudence), Bek (Pepper), Damien (Bobby), Rocky (Justin), Toni (Charity), Paul (Zul) – during the recording of these songs?

The singers kept pictures of their characters in front of them while recording, for inspiration. Also providing moral support was Molly the dog, a regular fixture in the studio and a great lover of music. The singers look remarkably similar to the characters they portray. This is apparently just a happy coincidence!
